925 STERLING SILVER

The 925 silver is the basic material of most of our designs.
Sterling silver is an alloy of silver containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% of other metals, usually copper. Silver jewelry marked with a 925 is sterling silver jewelry that has been certified to contain 92.5% silver content. Sterling silver jewelry is a high-quality choice consisting of 92.5% silver content – which makes it popular among jewelry collectors and designers alike. Sterling silver jewelry purchased from a reputable jeweler or jewelry brand is durable, timeless metal, and when cared for properly, can last a lifetime.

GOLD PLATED 925 STERLING SILVER

Many of ARTAYA designs have three layers of golden plating in order not to fade by time.
The most desirable, demi-fine type of gold-plated jewelry is sterling silver coated in gold. It is well known as vermeil, but this name only determines that base metal is highly-quality silver plated with 14K, 18K, 22K, or 24K white, yellow, or rose gold. Please pay more attention in gold platted designs, as the golden color can be worn out with time. The gold-plated jewelry should be protected from air, water, and chemicals (e.g., perfumes) to stay as bright as possible. We suggest that you take out the jewelry before contact with water and perfume and keep it stored in their airtight packaging in which you received it, so that they remain as new for quite a long time.

ZIRCON STONES

Zircon is a natural gemstone  and owes its name to the Arabic word  zirgun  which means golden color; it has a very high shine, dispersion, and refraction, in other words it plays flawlessly with light forming the colors of the rainbow.  It is found in many regions around the world, such as Sri Lanka, Burma, Cambodia, the USA, South Africa, Pakistan, and Australia. It has been used in the manufacture of jewelry for centuries and is particularly popular as it looks a lot like a diamond. Heat can alter the color of some zircon and warm, soapy water is recommended for cleaning zircon. Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are not recommended for cleaning this gem.

SEMIPRESIOUS STONES

Stones should be kept away from heat to protect its color & soapy water is always a safe choice to clean them. Ensure that it is dry and store it in a separate pouch or fabric-lined jewelry box, this will protect it from being scratched by harder objects such as other gemstones and metals

We mostly use the following: Jasper, Agate, Nephrites/Jade, Howlite, Turquoise, Amazonite

Corals/Seashells: DO NOT WET YOUR BLUE CORALS because there is a high possibility of fading out as they are the only dyed coral.

PEARLS

Real freshwater pearls are organic gemstones. They are a very soft gemstone meaning pearls require special care to maintain their radiance over time. With each wear, it is important to wipe freshwater pearls with a soft, non-abrasive microfibre cloth. This process will ensure that any natural body oils, makeup, and perfumes are wiped off the surface of the pearl. For all your freshwater pearl jewelry just remember the rule: Last on, first off. Store them flat. Dedicate a space just for your pearls.

It is recommended to remove any jewelry before showering, swimming, or sweating to reduce exposure to moisture.
